Attacat's approach for how to log comms in HubSpot.
We use HubSpot as the default comms system so all comms should be logged within HubSpot and defined correctly.
It's the responsibility of everyone to ensure that all comms are logged, so before you start a call/meeting make sure you've confirmed who's taking notes!
Calls vs. Meetings?
By default, all organised conversations should be logged as a meeting within HubSpot.
Calls should be used only when there's an impromptu physical call i.e. the client calls you or you call them.
SMS can be used for those who still dabble in the occasional client text.
Meeting Types?
Below is an overview of all the meeting types that should be logged in HubSpot and our definition of them so it's clear when to use them:

Leaving comms notes
All internal notes from a meeting or call should be logged on the meeting type as appropriate.
Remember that logging comms provides others (and yourself at a later day) a reminder of what was discussed and key outcomes.
Before creating a meeting to log notes, check there's not already one on the company record automatically
To log meeting notes you'll need to click 'Actions' and then 'Edit' within the meeting.
Then you can populate the 'Team notes' and tag in all relevant members.
